23 July 2002 - Two appear in court
Two of the arrested Upper Hutt men appear in Court. Third man undergoes treatment for dog bites received during the arrest
Two of the Upper Hutt men arrested on the 22.7.02 appeared in court on the 23.07.02. The third man. John Arthur Burnett was unable to attend as he was still in hospital receiving treatment for the dog bites he received during the arrest.

Both were granted interim name suppression and entered no plead on the charges. They were both remanded in custody to reappear in court on Monday 29 July 2002.
